I am a CG Supervisor with over a decade of industry experience. I've led teams of CG artists to deliver sequences on time, within budget, and up to the quality level required. I work closely with other supervisors to get rid of pipeline annoyances and drudgery and make sure artists can focus on what they do best.
I am also a lighting guru. I started in Film and TV VFX, but have gone on to work in advertising, VR, and Animation. I am able to create master light rigs and render settings for the team, and optimize render speeds on most current render engines. I also understand the nuances of complex physical light and material attributes, such as microfacet BRDF models, realistic IOR attributes, and single scatter transmission models.
My hobbies include: woodworking, whiskey tasting, finding and repairing vintage electronics, photography, cooking, and browsing the free section on craigslist.
I lead the lighting team on the Emmy-winning children's show Ask the Storybots (Season 2, Season 3, and A Storybots Christmas) for Netflix.
